So I bought a cellar; 11/12/2022-12/31/2030: Brought to a restaurant in St. Barth, along with the 2002. Popped both and poured. Big nose of red fruit; poured a deep dark red. No bricking that I could tell. Soft tannins on the palate, and plush, velvety texture. But a little be thinner than the 2002. Both had very similar profiles. Delicious. 30th Anniversary bottling.

Wow. Still amazing after a 2-3 hour decant. Has lots of life ahead as the fruit was nowhere near fading. My last bottle of that vintage. Insignia rarely disappoints and can be the best California offers.

good Insignia typicity, but slightly on the heavier side, dark fruit, good acidity for lift (even of weighed down by the body)...decanted at noon and then had at 6pm bday party, few were trying this wine for the first few hours then suddenly it went like hotcakes... recommend at least 6, more likely 8-10 hours of air at this point... very good but best at the end of the night

(JOSEPH PHELPS INSIGNIA) #3; VaynerPAZZZ (on QPR); NOSE-very attractive, good dark licorice, black currant, big, luscious; TASTE-these are VERY young, has similar issues to Opus1, ;but is more lush & better mouth-feel, very smooth on the mid-palate, but too dry and off-centered on the finish, black cherry, raspberry, cassis, hint of vanilla & oak; nice, but not astonishing, RP-91; WS-90; GV-90
