Tuesday Night Double Blind $40+ (Bin 75): From 375 mL; see through pale crimson, lots of sediment, rose rim; raisin, fig, red fruit, plum, ripe, aged, alcohol; vanilla, guava pastry (2 descriptors that are new for me in my limited Vintage Port tasting experience), sappy, high alcohol, slight nutty, figgy, good balance between alcohol sweetness and fruit; tasty though a little hard to navigate the chunks of sediment in my glass.

(Dow's Port) COLOR-dark; NOSE-black cherry; raisin; some caramel on the back-end; some alcohol, but not as much as a young Port; PALATE-some heat, but an outrageous delicious factor; the finish goes on forever; a beautiful blueberry component; a copper penny thing on the mid-palate that I find intriguing; this is an after dinner, cigar or dessert wine; great with Roaring 40's blue cheese or Creme Brulee; ; WS-92; RP-90; GV-No Score
