We were worried this may be over the hill, but it is drinking wonderfully! Pale straw colored, small but lots of bubbles. Yeast, apples, candied fruit on the nose. Got better as it warmed up. Great bubbles. Very fresh on the palate. Tart apples and white fruit, acid definitely makes your mouth water. Huge finish, medium lenght. Phenomenal champagne!
Not info but this was and old disgorgement. Deep gold color, mature nose with almonds, brioche, some white ripe fruit, honey. Long, savory, complex, mouth coating and refreshing palate with a super long finish. An outstanding, incredible bottle.

(Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Champagne Brut La Grande Dame) Light yellow color with steady stream of tiny bubbles; nutty, yeasty, tart baked lemon, hazelnut nose; mature, yeasty, tart lemon, baked lemon, mineral palate; with medium acidity; long finish
(Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Champagne Brut La Grande Dame) From magnum - lemon, almond, cream nose; creamy textured, tart lemon, mineral, baked lemon, nutmeg palate with medium acidity that's surprisingly flat compared to when we've had it before; medium-plus finish (the cork lacked the usual flared bottom of a Champagne cork, and was stamped 1985 instead of 1988 -- probable fake?)
