In perfect shape, this baby aged so well for a muscadet, lots of minerality, sea salt, oyster shell, nice balance, good verve, would love to have this with shell fish. EWG Loire dinner at Otono. Sooo good with the pan and tomato bruscheta thing.

Drank this beside the 2018 Briords. Opened for 3.5h for this note. Flint, minerals, sea air, tart and baked apples with a hint of iodine on the nose. On the palate, mostly tart apples with a bit of baked apples, herbs, chalk and fantastic minerals accented with some iodine. With more air, nice honeysuckle notes come through. Rounded, mildly creamy mouthfeel with excellent acids. Nice finish with added bitter grapefruit pith. Poured 1/4 bottle into 187 ml bottle. On day 5, nice honeysuckle notes with tart and baked apples, minerals, and almost floral sake type aromas (best that I can describe it),and a hint of herbs. Palate with nice lemon, tart apples, minerals, and a hint of honeysuckle. Rounded but the excellent acids come through. Lovely.

I wasn't so impressed by this vintage early on but it's drinking beautifully at age 12. A natural match for simple panko-crusted cod.

Opened one hour in advance. Lemon cream aroma. Full, creamy flavors of citrus and minerals. Tart lemon finish.
Lively, fresh, taut backbone, great staying power. Excellent.
