Perfect ending to a dinner party served with strawberry cheese cake desert. Totally consistent with my April 2013 tasting experience. Aromatic nose and addictive to the taste buds. Very positive comments from the dinner guests.
Billowing egg nog, exotic spice, botrytis nose, showing some Lipton's tea concentrate with air. Spicy, lemon juice acidity, dense and powerful palate that has a sense of lightness at the same time. Impressive.
Dark color. This is explosive, with toffee notes, engaging aromatics, that insane acidity. Not complex, but seamless. How it can be so restrained while also being so intense is a viniferous miracle. Wow.
Wow - first taste is very strong raisins with a bit of a biting acidity (that kind that gets in the back of your jowls and almost makes your glands hurt). There wasn't a lot of complexity to this although it was popular at the table as a nice easy dessert wine that clearly does well in being sweet without being overly syrupy.
