Bricking red. Ripe, slightly funky (almost raw meat funky), burgundy pinot fruit with blackberries and spice. Juicy and sappy. Dark, ripe berry fruit, minerals and a little chocolate. Sweet tannins and good energy. How old is this? 15 years and still with lots of vigor. Apparently from light, quick-draining soil. Seems to have done well in 2000.

Wow. Classic mature red burgundy. Superlatives and adjectives aside, it had everything tonight. If you have this in your cellar, drink it.

An easy drinker, with yeasty red cherry notes along with baking spice. A bit thin. Medium finish.
