We decanted through a vinturi and let sit for an hour and a half while we sipped on the 2006 Grasso. The nose was dark fruit, the palate was blackberry, plum, tobacco, with hints of toffee and mocha. A really nice finish.
Not as big of a fan as my last bottle. I think this is suffering the fate of many big fruit-forward wines where the fruit fades, the acid/tannins are there but just nothing really special is doing on. Don't get me wrong, still enjoyable but I don't really see this aging much further.
