style: Rocking acidity after thirty-one years, this is a well-balanced wine with good integration of oak, acid, tannin. Delicious flavors of ripe black cherry, minerals, black licorice, a mint quality, and long luscious finish. Impossible to believe 31 years, though no one would say it is younger than 8
Dark ruby. Beautiful expressive bouquet with cassis and beautiful toasted oak. In the taste there is perfect acidity, currants and oak. The wine is medium to full bodied with good tannin. Mature now, but with still a future of several years. Great effort for the vintage.
Deep dark purple; almost black. The bouquet is still closed, but there are some flowers…..am I imagining things? and good oak. The wine is firm and has complexity and refinement. What a great period for Guaud this is. A beauty, certainly considering the vintage.
