Spanish Introduction (Dan Murphy's, Lane Cove): Clean, medium minus intensity aromas, a little green apples, fresh herbs, muted bread yeast notes. Juicy, slightly tart acidity, plenty of bready yeast, touch of herbaceous underpin, softly textured leesy burr, finishes with very slight bitterness and a touch of alcohol warmth (despite claiming only 12%)

Fairly simple stuff. Grassy, white fruit, not much yeast. Medium bubbles. Shortish finish. Serviceable, no more.

Long Italian Lunch, 28 July, 2020; 7/27/2020-7/28/2020 (Pokai Parera, Ekatahuna, New Zealand): Bright, lively, and typical Cava. Certainly many many steps above the regular Freixenet cuvee. Has good lift, and balance, but is not particularly complex or memorable.
