Drank and used as vanilla gelato topping for a week. The most perfect companion to a cream dessert I can think of. They play against one another so perfectly. As a drink it is so intense it might overwhelm. I am used to these so the intensity doesn't usually get to me, but this one was really almost too much so I found it more enjoyable in small amounts to savor which is how a 375 lasts a week. The flavors are maple, pecans, figs & dates and a citrus note to cut it just a bit. However, the finish seems eternal so the small tastes are worth it.

A sunny lunch with Fien and Gert Jan in their garden (Overveen): Extreme! A very, very dark brown colour with a yellow rim; bouquet, violets, syrup, from deep down comes some citrus, currents, ripe bitters and all together super, super concentrated. The aftertaste is endless. There are maybe some similarities with PX sherry, but this Vin Santo has a character of its own. Unique, I think. Superb with Dutch cheeses.

From 0,375l. So unique, so rare. Equally thick, concentrated and complex. What a privilige to savour this elixir. Dark nuances of dried fruit (dates, raisins), mocha, spicebox, orange marmelade, earlgrey tea and honeysuckle. Endless finish..... Heartwarming and humbling, this is a wine for contemplation.

excellent, viscous and apparently eternal - maple, brown sugar, molasses, some aged Madeira character (without the lime and acidity), it is hard to not drink this now, but it has a long life ahead. It is intense and a small glass with dessert is perfect.

Great, as always, like motor oil, very sweet, stops short of cloying, very enjoyable.
