(Decanted for two hours) Brick red colour with a very pleasant maturity on the nose showing chocolate, coffee and mocha at first. Opens up with sandal wood and violets showing a nice complexity. Silky smooth tannins on the palate with a nice maturity showing warm sweet blackberries, coffee and a touch of dried herbs. Still very alive and with a warm fruity touch having the over hand on the lengthy finish. (Best 1989-2024)

(Decanted for one hour) Ruby red colour with a mature nose showing liquorice and herbs at first. With time in the glass it opens up with notes of stables and forest floor. Smooth palate with mature tertiary notes of leather and dried fruit in a very pleasant way and with a long lasting finish. This was drinking very nicely still and should stay so over the coming decade. (Probably best 1984-2004)
