Translucent light red in colour, ethereal with strawberry fruit on the nose. Very open and fresh with more wild strawberries and no mistaking that it is in its tertiary phase. Not the most complex but hard to find something more delicious, very appealing. Ideally not one to cellar much longer.

Same as my last note, from 8/2019. Kept hoping this would open up and show some sweetness of fruit, which is lacking. It's grumpy and lean on the first night. Somewhat softer palate on the second night, rounder, hints of soy, but still lacking in charm and sweetness of fruit. Disappointing.
Was hoping for more sweetness of fruit. Never really opened up and showed a friendly side. Needs more time in the cellar? At the Ben Harper concert at Tanglewood.

Wedding Anniversary Dinner (The Steak House, Grand Hyatt Hotel, Wan Chai, Hong Kong): Jeweled transparent ruby colour. Nose is slightly damp soil and reticent strawberries with an attractive sweaty sock element. Palate is full, rich, rounded sweet strawberry fruit and forward but not intrusive oak. Surprisingly rounded and open for its youth. Very more-ish. Perfect with serious aged steaks and truffle mustard.

(Domaine Chandon de Briailles Corton-Bressandes) Medium ruby red color; reduction, tire rubber, green herb nose, that opens after a half hour or so to more of a pine needle and forest floor nose; reduction, green herb, gunpowder palate; needs at least 4-5 years; medium finish

2008 RED BURGUNDIES: NEW ARRIVALS (Vin, Vino, Wine Palo Alto CA): Violet flowers and perfume nose, some tar and cut grass aromas.
Fruity, oak flavors, beautiful, complex.
