dark plum red; fruity nose; very well balanced fruit on the palate, elegant sweetness, maybe missing some backbone; good finish; overall a very pleasant wine; opened about 90 minues before consumption but did not decant; should hold well for another two years

plum red; nose of citrus, almonds and some roast; elegant on the palate, rather light, well rounded with good finish; did open 90 minutes before consumption but not decant

This wine was a fantastic example of a good St Emilion. Complex refined nose which made you just want to smell it rather than drink. Palate medium length with lots of fruit. Slightly unintegrated at first but after an hour this was beautifully rounded and balanced. This was probably the best bordeaux I have tasted for a long time. I think this was probably a little old and had lost some of its vibrancy but was still an absolute pleasure.
Will not pay the outrageous price of the 2000!! but 2004 looks good at £70/bottle
