Very nice Chianti, made by a winemaker, not a factory or a consultant. Full-bodied, fruit-driven, but with layers of complexity. All that's missing is a tang of the barnyard--a nostalgie de la boue, I'm ashamed to say.
Last bottle, and this was the best of the 3. This wine has mellowed noticeably since the previous bottle and was drinking rather smoothly. Clearly worth cellaring this bottling for a few years after release, and it continues to be an excellent value in chianti.
