Better than the last bottle I had. Opened two hours prior to dinner. The nose was dark berries. The palate was dark berries, plums and coffee. The finish was moderate. Drinking nicely at 15 years old.

decanted one hour, notable sediment; mature weedy blackcurrant aromatics; ripeness of the vintage prevails on the palate, blackberry & black currant again; firm, a little tense still, tho fully grown up.
suspect this has turned out exactly as intended by Bruce & Ehren - that's a win. a rare Ca. cab in the rotation; satisfies for its lack of exaggeration.
prime strip, rosemary & butter-basted; escarole w/garlic & lemon; buttered new - dug red creamers

Brooding. Deep density of dark blue fruits with a gentle roses overlay. Powerful tannins. Back palate hints of expresso coffee. Tongue and toe curling tannins. How can it be so young at 15 years?
I have 3 more bottles... lucky me!!

Beautiful. I was afraid I'd waited too long, but it's in a great place right now.
