  Mycket bättre än 92:an. Tydlig ålder men inget av det läskiga funkiga. Nej, här fanns honung, en pytte oxidativitet, och lite torkad ananas. Rätt tunga botrytis/sauternesvibbar. Men noll sötma – i stället en rätt tajt syra. Funkade såväl till fisken som till tv-apparaten.

  Light golden colour. Elegant and focussed nose. Peach, very light nettle note. The palate also has a rich peach flavour but kissed with a touch of herbaceousness. There's some oxidation evident on the finish but this shows that Sauv Blanc can age.

  Kind of wrong. Found it in a bin end for next to nothing so thought I'd have a go and see what had happened to it. Certainly not corked but just dull.

  Pale spring straw color. Aroma is a delicate perfume with flowers - less citrus than the 1997 we drank with it. Lime with an equal balance of mineral, fruit and citrus. Still quite vivacious, it's true to the Cloudy Bay style and shows its lineage.
