Friday Group Brown Bag Tasting (EBCC): Double blind. Light crimson red color. Notes of Christmas spices, cranberry, red berry fruit and Red Hots candies. Medium-bodied. Abundant red berry fruit, along with sage and a candied black cherry flavor. Excellent. (J&J)

Double decanted three hours before service. Bought on release. Medium red. Raspberries and a little spice on the palate. The color change is interesting, from the previous purple to red. Still drinking very well. I think the wine is at full maturity at this point and will drink well over the next five years.

Last one. Wow this stuff was awesome. See prior review. If you like cru-boo, it really doesn't get any better than this. I am giving an extra point here because it's a decade old and still has life!

Light ruby, minimal browning. Attractive aromatic mix of ripe black cherry and soil. Quite sappy for Gamay, tremendous dark red fruit, chocolate, a lift of citrus rind, and a finish which is shortened by some late emerging funky elements. I've had variable luck with this wine, but this particular bottle had terrific fruit and good verve, even though it was not perfectly clean.

Showing the 09 ripeness and fruit in a major way. Just a touch hot but overall in balance. Quite good, I would not mind having a few more.
