Consistent with note from 5/2012 " black raspberry / cherry / chocolate on nose & palate - medium+ body & silky mouth-feel with long finish." Still good on night two so this can go for a while. 92+/- Clearly new world but a delicious wine if you are in the mood for a Napa Bordeaux Varietal.
Utterly shocked at how different this was from 2 other bottles we've had (in late '12 & mid '13). Same vintage, same supplier, but this time it was thinner bodied, lighter colored, more transparent & more acidic, by significant amounts, than the others. Certainly more changes than another year of age should have caused. Not flawed either. Whereas the first two were deep, rich & concentrated (think Robert Foley, but better), this time I'd swear I was drinking a hybrid style Rioja if I hadn't poured it myself. All in all it was still decent, just not the complex hedonistic pleasure bomb its siblings were.
