Zesty lemon and lime on the nose, a generous note of petrol/kerosene, but well integrated and not overpowering. It's filled out a bit on the palate, initially almost a little fat. The acidity reasserts itself after a bit of a flat midpalate, leading to a long zesty finish. I'd say this is maybe just on the way down, drink up. Still a top draw Ausi Riesling.

{screwcap, 11.5%} Mid yellow/gold. Developed nose, singing at peak. Lemon curd, vanilla bean, hint of toast, faint kerosene. Palate is getting broad now thanks to easing acidity but the flavours are kaleidoscopic enough to retain interest, with the wine tasting pretty much as it smells, although with an extra tang of acid at the end. Even palate, right to the back of the tongue, bone dry, and full-bodied for Riesling. I reckon this is at peak now.

{screwcap, 11.5%} Mid-yellow; right for age. Custard apple and white flower aromas, quite developed. Maybe some generic citrus in the background too. The palate is quite dense and powerful, medium-bodied, even along the palate, with a long dry, rich finish. Flavours largely mirror the nose, with perhaps a bit of lemon curd in the mix too. It doesn't have a great dimension or kaleidescope of flavour - the ultimate complexity isn't really there - but it's still a pretty impressive riesling, showing beautifully after a dozen years of aging, and given the balance and maturity now, and the slightly softer acidity, is probably at peak now and over the next few years. Class act.

This one really split the group. I loved it, vibrant acidity, lovely core of lime/citrus, fairly stong Kerosene/petrol nose (which I like, others hated). Still going strong - no rush to drink

Superb. Incredibly complex limey aromas, with just a touch of kerosene. An initial burst of apparent sweetness followed by a very long dry finish. Vibrant acidity: no sense of ageing. An unmistakably Australian expression of Riesling: undeniably brilliant. Joyous. 11.5%, screwcap.
