  • Opened to air and followed over many hours.

Red brambly fruit, faint cocoa, game, oak and anise on a modern leaning nose. Some acidity but a sharpish feel on the palate without the depth I saw from other TNs. A general feeling of flatness; maybe the bottle was tough but definitely feels a bit linear and taut

  • Ouch!
    This was just so good.
    A great bottle from Christophe.
Amazing nose, such depth and finesse is shown, despite being a baby still.
Lovely dark red ripe raspberries and some underlying cherries, mixed with a touch of meat, subtle smoke, herbs and pine needles.
Must be stems/whole cluster to a certain percentage anyway, in there. (Christophe destemmes between 50 – 100% of his grapes, depending on climat and vintage)
Ultra-sexy floral perfume and minerals starting to show, as the wine opens up (Riedel Sommelier Grand Cru glasses used, of course)
Cool fine fruit on the clean and intense palate.
Red berries mixed with some darker cherries and almost blue/black ripe and sweet raspberries.
Amazingly clean fruits, spices, spicy stems, touch of earth and meat.
Made in a somewhat fruit driven, “modern” way, but so good and so refined.
(not anyway near being any kind of fruit bomb or jammy or USA – ish, just beautiful and clean terroir driven Pinot Noir)
Long and very clean finish, with great balance and fine acidity.
This is indeed a very fine bottle of Bourgogne, with a very bright future ahead.
I liked it allot tonight, despite its youthfulness, and there is sure a big upside to be enjoyed if given more time for development.

  • Burghound Symposium Asia - Perrot-Minot Dinner (Hong Kong): Dark ruby. Rich, dark fruit, ripe, plum. Powerful palate, blue fruit, good volume but finish is shorter than on the 2014/15. Modern, crowd pleaser style.

  • Heritage Blind Tasting in Vegas (Jean-Georges Restaurant, Aria Hotel Las Vegas): Wow--stunning wine. The hits just don't stop tonight. Beautiful pure red fruits, perfume, gevrey spice notes, little bit of pine forest. Excellent depth, minerals, balance, finish. Oak started showing up a little about 30 minutes in but should integrate very well in 5-10 years. Very young wine on the table but did not mind at all. Heritage Auction Blind Tasting Vegas--dinner wines.

  • Translucent. Touch of brick colour.
Dark, somewhat dried fruit and elegant oak on the nose.
Rounded fine tannins and av very appealing menthol tone on the palate. The wine almost resembles a really good Barolo in that way.
