  • Poured at Dana Estates before our tasting.

Pretty uninteresting and lacked complexity. No one in our party continued to drink it after the first sip!

Nice, well not really, to have Dana pour this. They wanted to give us a Napa experience. MEH! Really?

I can think of many other decent sparkling wines from the area other than this below average bottle in comparison. Kinda shame on them to be so cheap and pretend to care about supporting local producers pouring really blah stuff when there are plenty others far better. Weak effort Dana!

  • Justin's let's try a lot of daily drinkers dinner (The Capital Grille Tysons, VA): Medium complex nose displaying generous apple fruit, steel, a hint of brioche and mineral. Excellent concentration, packed apple fruit, bright acidity, steely mineral, and a medium long apple fruit driven finish with steely mineral at the end. If tasted blind, the nose is very Champagne thought not terribly complex but the palate is a bit one dimensional. It is technically correct and perhaps better made than the Laval but not as interesting. Least favorite of the flight.
