Left to breathe in the bottle for about 3 hours. This wine is definitely improving. Blackberry and dark cherry fruit with notes of smoked meat, mushroom pepper and spice. 25 second finish with moderate tannins. great value at $15. Wish i had more of this!

Decanted 1 hour. Pretty similar to previous TN from 2010. Seems to have put on a little weight but still has nice black cherry fruit and nice notes of game, pepper and spice. Still has tannins to shed and is likely to get better in the short term. Excellent QPR.

Deep crushed purple velvet in the glass. There's a bit of funk on opening, which recedes with air to become an interesting back note. This beautiful Southern Rhone syrah blend has come a long way since my last bottle, around New Year's. Black fruits, black pepper, and smooth, rounded tannins glide into a pleasing, medium-length finish. Drink up - this is at peak.

Quite horsey on opening but a 2 hour decant revealed a gamey nose with dark fruit and a little tobacco. Nice fruit with black cherry flavor an notes of mushroom and black pepper. Moderate finish with smooth tannins. Very good wine which is a good QPR at $15.

(Saint Cosme Côtes du Rhône Les Deux Albion) Dark red violet color; tight, tart berry nose; tasty, herbal, tart black fruit and sous bois palate; medium finish (co-fermented Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Carignane and Clairette; macerated 50 days, with stems; gentle, slow extraction; aged in tank)

Plum and pepper. Tannins still rough. A good CDR but give it a another year to mature.
