  • Gorgeous . This is starting to sing right now. Tannins still a little chalky and grippy. Deep garnet color shows little signs of age. Nose has lots of leather, mushroom , lavender , garrigue, hoisin, dried cherry, dried raspberry and a hint of tomato leaf.

I have been very disappointed by lots of other 2007 CdPs and Gigondas that have died in my passive cellar, but this wine seems pretty bomb proof. Entering a good drinking window. This wine lived up to its promise. Drink over next 5-7 years.

4 h dekantiert!
So geht südliche Rhone in 2007!

  • Started very rustic and high in tannin. After a few hours of air it calmed down and ended in a very nice southern rhone. Cherry all over, little herbal notes and good finish. very fresh. Will improve !! next in 2022 93+

  • Immediately after opening, a great deal of leather and dust. Rapidly resolved into very dark fruit, violets, a touch of sour cherry. I wouldn’t save this too much longer but it’s spectacular right now, one of the best rhone wines of the year.
