  An incredibly complex and fascinating aroma profile. Dark ripe raspberries, blackberries, leather, bacon, iron, white pepper, toasted wood and vanilla notes. The oak is still evident, but no longer overpowering. Very concentrated, great mouthfeel, delicate and fine-grained tannins, and endless finish. A fairly structured Mouline. An absolutely stunning wine at the start of its drinking window, a drinking window that will last for decades to come.

  Solbær, fat, blåbær, bringebær, tobakk. Allerede på nese så kjenner man at dette er en vin med eksepsjonell balanse. Umiddelbart tenkte jeg østside Bordeaux (Pomerol) av eksepsjonell kvalitet. For mye frukt til å være Bordeaux, men . Tenkte umiddelbart Cab fra US, men så byttet vi glass, og da ble dette en soleklar Syrah. Denne kom etter en Jamet og dette var en tydelig kvalitetsøkning. Enormt bra balanse, 98 poeng. (!)

Restanten van vers donker fruit, vooral gedroogd donker fruit, menthol, truffel / champignons en een subtiele hint van aangename 'gronderigheid'. Na enige tijd beluchting ontwikkelt deze wijn pas een prachtig tertiair bouquet met daarin een begin van madeira en soja. Smaak / Afdronk: Verfijnde, zachte zuurgraad. Mooi gerijpte tannines, boterzacht maar ook in dit stadium vitaal en krachtig. Met een 'bescheiden' alcoholgehalte van 13,5% is deze wijn perfect in balans. Alles klopt. Mondvullend, krachtig maar verfijnd. Lange afdronk. Algemeen / potentieel: Liefhebbers van 'rijpe' Franse Syrah: NU DRINKEN. Mooier gaat deze wijn niet worden…. Waarmee ik moet terugkomen op mijn proefnotitie van 08-03-2013 waarin ik deze wijn niet verdacht van een groot potentitieel tot ontwikkeling. In de afgelopen 9 jaar ontwikkelde deze wijn zich tot het huidige, serieus grootse, niveau. 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 14 + Smaak / Afdronk: 18 + Algemeen / potentieel: 9 = 96/100
  
  Colour: Velvety ruby ​​red. Aroma / bouquet: Impressive ripe and rich bouquet. Remnants of fresh dark fruit, especially dried dark fruit, menthol, truffle/mushrooms and a subtle hint of pleasant 'groundiness'. After some aeration, this wine develops a beautiful tertiary bouquet with the beginnings of Madeira and soy. Taste / Aftertaste: Refined, soft acidity. Nicely matured tannins, buttery soft but also at this stage vital and powerful. With a 'modest' alcohol content of 13.5%, this wine is perfectly balanced. Everything is right. Mouth-filling, powerful but refined. Long finish. General / potential: Lovers of 'ripe' French Syrah: DRINK NOW. This wine doesn't get any better…. With which I have to return to my tasting note of 08-03-2013 in which I do not suspect this wine of great potential for development. In the past 9 years this wine has developed to the current, seriously grand, level. 50 + Colour: 5 + Aroma / Bouquet: 14 + Taste / Aftertaste: 18 + General / Potential: 9 = 96/100
