Still yummy. Cresting, possibly over the crest, but still in my like very much like zone. I would say "Drink'm if you Got'm". Almost forgot, tons of sediment, I utilized a pourer with a screen.

i remember this wine years ago being tough, too oaky and harsh with acid. It has calmed down quite a bit. Berries are starting to pop, sweet tannin from syrah showing with spice in the mid palate. very good. A little funk and some chocolate. I also think this could age longer and gain complexity if stored properly. This is a old world styled wine with new world intensity. Good sneaker in a blind CDP tasting; just to be a curveball

Time has done this vintage well, and certainly more lively than the 2002, consumed just the day prior. Far more fruity with lots of blue and blackberry, a hint of smoke and just a touch of sweetness. It was only enhanced when paired with the spice of a tender jerk pork chop, although flavors were muted when paired with soft and medium-hard cheeses. Medium finish and good balance of tannins and acidity. I presume it to be very near its prime.

(Ridge Syrah/Grenache Lytton Estate) Very dark raspberry red color; Grenachey, baked cherry, berry, VA, blackberry nose; ripe berry, black cherry, black fruit, vanilla palate with depth and balance; medium-plus finish (needs 3-4 years)
