  • In my cellar since release. Different experience than several others posting here. This wine is fresh, soft, supple with great nose of tobacco, espresso and blackberry. On the palate some secondary spice and tobacco along with cassi and berries and silky mouthhfeel. Medium finish. Amazing QPR and seems to have a good drinking window still to come.

  • Hah, over a year ago we had lasagna with our last bottle.....and again tonight opened with lasagna. Slightly funky, confected, detergent, blood orange, tea, mint and herbal notes. Some bricking. Very tart cranberry and raspberry. Sour cherry notes, acidic attack and finish. A dark oak note revealing with air. Wow, at day 2 + under vac u vin this has certainly come around, getting deeper, darker, and less acidic with more true fruit and breadth of palate. Interesting evolution and recovery from what initially seemed mediocre.

  • Opened with meat lasagna. Lighter bodied dark red to brick. Not firing on all cylinders tonight, this offers up aromas of bitter coffee, earth, rock, red cherry. Almost pinot like nose with a slightly musky edge. Similar flavor profile to aroma, with additional tartness. Fruit is madierizing. Day two under vac-u-vin this shows a little more depth and body, yet acidic fruit - the sweetness is gone and this is perhaps a little better than upon opening. Better with food.

  • Reading some other TNs here got me nervous about this, as I astill have several bottles of the 03. Opened one last night that's been in my cellar since release, and it's in its prime...still more purple than red in color and softened up a lot since release. Flavors of raspberry, black cherry, spice and mild pepper. Not all that complex, but a very enjoyable wine. Need to drink these in the next year or so..

  • Past its prime - brownish color; slightly sour taste, drinkable but barely.
