Second night open. Very similar to my previous note. Medium ruby in colour, not much sign of aging. A mix of mainly redfruits on the nose, with some chocolate and cedar. Medium bodied palate, with similar flavours and some tar and earth as well as some blackberries and tannins too. This is drinking nicely now, but will last. Not earthshattering, but a nice midweek Bordeaux that offered good QPR (A-).

Tasted blind – Fresh array of assertive dark earthy berries, dark chocolate (merlot?) with fine-grained tannins. Muscular body with bulky fruits and substantial tannins. Dusty tannins and medium fruit intensity suggest a decent vintage but not excellent. Pomerol? 2011? (84/100)

Notes from second night open. Medium brick in colour, with a light nose of redfruits and a hint of cedar. Medium bodied on the palate, with a lovely silky texture and more red and black fruits. Very pure and elegant flavours, still quite lively and balanced (B+).

Has become very round and smoth. Did not expect it to have gained so much since the last encounter. Rather light wine, probably better not to wait much longer. But right now it is great value for the money.
