  Expressive exotic nose displaying concentrated red fruit, raspberry preserve, cherry compote, light caramel, stem, Chinese medicinal cabinet, sweet spices and limestone. Excellent concentration, beautifully layered concentrated red fruit, rich yet fluid and sensual, perfect amount of acidity and mineral, and a long sweet concentrated red fruit driven finish with a hint of stem at the end. This is more concentrated than the 08 GE. Clearly expressing the exotic 08 vintage characteristic. Drinking beautifully.

  08 RSV/Richebourg/LT. A step up in concentration and intensity over the RSV. Similar spice, whole cluster and tea flavors with just more fruit power and concentration, though similarly refined and well-integrated.

  Light and transparent red. Hefty, sweet and seductive Pinot Noir aromas with strawberries, minerals, spices and coffee. Firm, pure, intense and surprisingly tender on the palate. A fantastic wine!

  Opened in the late morning for drinking at dinner. This was initially tight and had some tannins but these quickly faded through dinner into a beautiful layered wine with dense fruit. As the evening evolved the nose started to come alive into a potpourri of flower & tea leaves including camomile, lilac. This was a lot more feminine than the 2009 which was more structured. Both wines were just beautiful tonight and a fabulous comparison.
