A little bit of an oxidative note had me a little worried, but it stays faint. Quince and wool, some orange zest and honey. Good acids, good length. Holds up over couple of days. B+

About a half inch disc of cork stayed behind. Poured an alarming dark golden hue but no apparent sign of oxidation. First glass offered fragrant nose, good acidity, decent fruit and an oily texture. After that, it demurred and was kind of plodding. Not clear if it was advanced or a somewhat off bottle. First glass good and the rest drinkable but less than expected.

Medium gold. Quince flavors and a slightly oily texture. A good wine that aged well. Its med+ acidity probably helped this wine age. This was one of those bottles that becomes a curiosity in your cellar. Not bad at all for a wine that was $16.99 on release.

(Huet Vouvray "Clos Du Bourg" Sec) Beautiful wine. I need to drink more Huet. Very aromatic nose of creamed corn, marzipan, brown sugar, tea leaf, wool, old Gouda cheese and mineral. Such a precise and focused nose. Palate is sharp as a razor with nice concentration and a firm structure. Dry with nice grainy fruit and very intense minerality. Acidity livens out the finish.
