Old World nose, with earth, cigar, and a bit of dust; currant, sweet bell pepper, cigar flavors with slightly rustic tannins and a very long and dry finish; not a velvety big Napa Cab, but a more refined and earthy style that matched beautifully with grilled lamb

smelled like poo at first, was spicey. as it oxygenated, it became very drinkable, still spicey, with a dry finish. a very good bottle that i'd like to procure more of.

Earlier reviews still stand: earthy, not fruity. Decant for at least a few hours. Was well received at Thanksgiving dinner. Drink soon. Not much left.

Nice example of a good California Cabernet. Not big on "soul", but stylish, soft and smooth. It's what to excpect of a good Cali Cab.

Ripe, lush, with wonderful currant aromas and a plummy mid-palate; needed 3 hours in the decanter to open up
