  Dinner at Tortello (Chicago, IL): My favourite nebbiolo of the night -- this is just hitting its stride, with clean red fruit, and plenty of youthful nebbiolo structure. Still feels like there's upside here, but for drinking now I really like the overall balance. In contrast to the 1988 Rabaja, this started to clamp down over the course of the evening, to the point you were getting a lot of tannic intensity on the finish.

  Besøk av broderen. PnP forsiktig moden lukt, litt stikkende. Lite smak. Etter litt tid i glasset. Mer lukt veksler mellom overmoden og svisker med roser og tjære. Smak av TE, tørket frukt, røde oliven, vaskepulver fast og frisk. aceton, tørket jordbær, pipetobak. 1 dag i flaske: rikere i dag moden og fyldig frukt. Opp 1 poeng. Trenger luft. Bør dekanteres neste gang.

  Wonderful wine. Perfectly mature, fine silky tannins, ripe red fruit and nice acidity. Terrific wine. Had it next to the 2001 Ceretto Asili.

  Tannin has been tamed by Father Time. Fruit remains. Ditto previous notes. Will hold and perhaps improve.

  Fairly well integrated, but still a bit of acid and tannin. Bright red fruit, hints of raisin on the finish. Almost orange in color.
