I understand this wine struggled at this point when the La Turque came out and that's prob fair. Overshadowed by a lot of other wines at the table. Missing the vibrancy.

Clearly over the hill, but I enjoy this more than most 85 pt wines. Modest bricking in the glass. Sour cherry on a mature nose. Pepper and fruit on the palate, that while comparably thin is pleasant and finishes quite long with soft wood. Should serve a couple degrees cooler than normal for best showing.

Nice surprise. Lots of meat, spice and strawberry. Some funk on the nose. Light and easy, but a slightly bitter finish.

The Oddbins Old World Wine Fair; 5/16/1992-5/17/1992 (London): Great nose. Very full and fruity with good pepperiness on the finish. Very Good Indeed.
