Decanted for about 30mins based on prior experience with 2005; definitely needs more time. This wine still has years left on it - zero sediment in the bottle. If you’ve got a bottle in good condition, I’d say this has another 2-3 years of maturity to gain.
Lots of acidity initially - gives way to some great cool blue and red fruit with a hint of pepper (very mild). Didn’t come across as transitional Cote Rotie to me because of a lack of pronounced pepper and bacon fat but still an incredible wine.
Definitely want to find some more.

Wow, really nice and balanced. Bought from Envoyer from a private cellar. Drank during covid quarantine, with flank steak and truffle butter. Bottle and cork were perfect. Plenty of fruit, with smoked meat ending. Would think this is in its prime.

Drinking beautifully. Dark in the glas without brownish edge. Nice, but light nose. The wine itself is perfectly in balance, not overly complex, but wonderfully long, giving black fruit, liquorace and spice. Very nice, will stay at this level for years.

After 2 a two hour or so decant this shows plenty of blackberry and a bit of spice and smoke. In the mouth there is more blackberry and some meaty or fatty flavours. The tannins are softened and well balanced with the rest of the wine. Medium body. I find this wine very silky and polished throughout. Could last longer but it is certainly at a good drinking age.
