Adobo Dinner (Home (Noe st)): Classic Medoc. Surprisingly intense cassis. Integrated oak spice and Brett furry spice. Some savoriness and sweet tobacco from early development. Medium body. Medium alcohol. Medium acid. Medium tannins. Satiny and elegant. This is in a great place - well-integrated and interesting enough to command attention. It could get way better with age. 12.8% alcohol score: between 9-9.5.
Beautiful wine and fully mature now with enough power for another year or two. In the bouquet some pleasant barnyard. For the rest earthy impressions, some caramel, pepper and cinnamon and a long finish. Really offering great drinking at the moment.
Opening up a bit from yhe last bottle. Blackcurrantleaf and pencil lead nose, a little more sweet druit on the palate than previously. Still a 'classic' dry calret, but has rounded out and shows nice balance now. Fresh, tasty and reasonablt moreish. ***
