  1955 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Grands Echezeaux (Frankrijk, Bourgogne, Côte de Nuits, Grands-Echezeaux Grand Cru) Kleur: Lichtbruin, lijkt op 50% verdunde Coca-Cola Aroma / bouquet: Verrassend, gezien de kleur: behoorlijk oxidatief maar nog steeds complex: Madeira, maggi, oude kaas, appelstroop, rumbonen, PX. Smaak / Afdronk: Ver over de top, maar onvoorstelbaar interessant en complex. Alcoholisch, gebrand, meer madeira / oloroso-Sherry dan wijn, caramel, maggi, Engelse drop, klein zoetje, PX / honing, oosterse specerijen. Algemeen / potentieel: Deze wijn heeft zijn beste tijd al decennia geleden gehad. Maar blijft wel verdomd interessant... 50 + Kleur: 3 + Aroma / bouquet: 10 + Smaak / Afdronk: 5 + Algemeen / potentieel: 6 = 74/100
