The tertiary notes are definitely forward on this wine with tree bark, freshly tilled soil and forrest floor. The fruit wasn’t dead at all and still had a part in the experience. Drink now-2025

Drank from well-stored magnums. Open an hour before and a quick decant before pouring—the nose of cherries, pomegranate, fresh herbs, and spices. A full full-bodied, and complex finish goes exceptionally well with hipster Chinese food from Red Farm in NYC. Excellent!

Surprising color despite obvious browning. Initial nose oxidation and if you persist intriguing spice. The intense and shifting aromas deserve sips and inhaling. Taste follows nose, nice sweet dry fruit, wrinkles of maturity. Shall I compare thee to an old Burgundy or Barolo? All show their age, Beaux Freres still smiles.
Not a wine for most tasters, I prefer it any Pinot cola tasted in the past few years.

Drank from a well-stored Magnum bought at auction from a noted collector. Quick double decant for sediment. Elegant and delicious bottle in its middle age. Any hints of Oak have receded, fruit has not.

Magnum - this is not my style of wine. Sloppy, oaky and misses the point of pinot noir
