Pedro's visit to Tucson: Tasted alongside the '98 and '02 DRC GE. I last wrote a note on this wine 10 years ago, which time I gave it 98 points, a score I rarely have given. I noted that the wine should be great in "10 years". Well, it did not disappoint!. What a wine. Some bricking on the rim, light ruby core. The nose is ethereal, with sous bois, asian spice, soy, red fruit, stems. Wonderful silky texture and lingering finish. A very complete wine. Although I didn't score the wine 98 points as before, I think I was probably too generous at that time. This wine was my favorite of the trio, all of which were very good wines.

Drinking beautifully after 32 years in the bottle I last had this in 2010 and it was nowhere near ready. Now it is sweet and pretty with nicely emerging earth notes and a hint of oatmeal. Some cool notes add to a very smooth profile. This will have you smiling

This bottle started off slightly more mature than others. Mushroom. But good length and intensity. Not tired in the back. Over time more red fruits characteristics emerged surprisingly. Great evolution in the glass.

From a great case, this was gorgeous. I'll defer to rnellans note, and simply say I concur.
