Pale garnet Med+ intensity, tabacco, roses, coffee, earthy, toast, capsicum, vanilla, truffle, leaf, fully developed. Dry, high acidity, med alcohol, med smooth tannins, med+ intensity, cranberry, roses, tabacco, syrup, caramel, coffee, med finish. Overall, very good wine. Although it is almost 30 years old, it still shows up some floral notes. As a second label of grand puy lacoste, this bottle shows up incredible aging ability. Complex notes like truffle etc also developed. Drinking perfectly now.

Well past the drinking window but actually this was a delicious mature Bordeaux, all leather, polished furniture, plumbs forest floor, fruit and soft tannin, quite complex and long. A bonus delight!

I'd encourage anyone with this wine in their cellar to get a move on. I opened up a case in August and this wine is in a lovely drinking window. It benefits from a 1-2hr decant, the nose is concentrated complex purple, gritty, earthy Pauillac fruit. The pallete is silkly smooth and perfectly balanced, at no point does the alcohol imballance the wine. All round corker, I have enjoyed these a lot.

Leather, cedar, wild cherry on the nose and palate, fully developed, perfectly integrated, and quietly opulent. Textbook Pauillac.
