  N: vanilla dominant, spices, caramel, very typical signature style
  P: palate follows through and finish is astringent, long and mineral. Salivating.
  Good, the astringency could be better controlled, which seems to be a common theme with the 2006 ribera’s i have tasted recently.

  Bu lors du souper du jour de l`an avec 12 amis!
  Super accord avec le Champvallon de Gibier à la Vrooden Chocolate stout!
  Mis en carafe 2 heures pour enlever le dépot substanciel, pas mal crouté sur les parois!
  Le nez est sublime, sur le tabac, les fruits rouge, les herbes et les épices.
  En bouche, assez ample, le boisé est encore là mais bien dosé et de bon gout.
  Les cerises et les mures sont là avec un peu de menthol et de romarin.
  Les tanins sont fins et bin intégrés avec une finale longue.
  Encore quelques années pour assimuiler le bois, très bon.

  Après 3 heures de carafe, il se dévoile et s'adouci.
  Nez sur les épices et les fruits noirs.
  En bouche, encore assez jeune avec une présence d'élevage dosée.
  Mures, cassis, poivre et tabac avec des tannins charnus.
  Finale longue un brin capiteuse.
  Encore besoin de temps.

  Maroon; dense, power-packed, inviting warm fruit on nose; no holds barred palate, raw oak, powerful, chewy. Needs five years, when it may have knit. .
