AP 13 10, 12.5% abv. Pale yellow. There's some development here - bruised apples in a layer on top of more tropical things - ginger, pineapple, candied lime. The palate is strange - this isn't pulling in the same direction. The sweetness tastes vaguely artificial and it's disconnected from the acidity. A bit hollow in the midpalate. Given this is now 13 years old and had "barely above the legal limit for Trocken" levels of RS, I'm not sure what comes next. It seems to be evolving very slowly, but toward what?

Youthful straw colour. Some maturity in the aromas. Yellow fruits and light petrol. Promising. A little subdued nose. The palate is better. Lovely fat fruit, balanced by gracing acidity. Drinks well noe, but will probably keep for two more years.

Deep golden color. Evolved nose of peach, yellow apples, newly baked bread, wet earth, and that nice tone of petroleum. Full bodied in the first attack on the palate, almost a "fat" feeling. Then a rounded acidity kicks in, in perfect balance with sweet fruit in the vein of yellow apples, peach, pineapple, and a hint of vanilla. The acidity really lifts this wine to great heights in a fresh aftertaste that lasts for a minute or so. This has evolved perfectly, and has many years left to live.
