  1 or 1 decanted at 4:00 served blind at 8:15…. Initial reactions were that this was mildly corked … knowing what it was I thought it was just a muddy, mediocre 2004 … either way glad this was the only 2004 Red Burgundy in my cellar

  A few favourites with coq au vin (Chicago, IL): As far as 2004 goes, this doesn't have the super overt green that some of the worst offenders have, but there are definitely some tell-tale green elements here. What I've noticed is that with so much age now, those flavours have changed into something more brown and a little sucralosey, but there's still a slight unpleasant chemical sensation about them. Nonetheless, there are still some very nice Chambolle red-fruit elements here. This is definitely a light wine, and would have been very nice but for those browning green notes.

  Delicious. Freddy never disappoints. This would rival Dujac or Roumier at the same level.

  Drinking beautifully now. Clean fruit, hint of spicy notes. No green. Wonderful mature nose. Mugniers 2004s are stunning still. No rush yet to drink.
