A little floral, a little mineral up front, with a subdued but zippy hum of acid. With a little aeration on the palate it opens up beautifully with melon and tropical fruit and has character consistent with stainless steel fermentation, which I appreciate greatly. She's a beauty.

Very strong fruit nose, with tropical fruits predominating. Wine was light on the palate, with relatively high acidity. It felt crisp and refreshing. This is an excellent Sauvignon Blanc, and one of the wines that made me sign up as a member at Goosecross when I tasted at the winery.

Extremely tropical nose hits you like a right cross. Watermelon Now and Laters and papaya. Balanced acid-wise and very tasty, especially on a warm pre-summer day, straight out of the fridge.

Suggestion to notes from rentmp3: The 2009 Goosecross Cellars Sauvignon Blanc was 100% stainless steel with no oak application. Disclosure: I am the owner of Goosecross Cellars. I never comment on the wine tasting experience of the individual and sincerely respect all reviews. I only comment when there is a technical detail that should be noted.

Trip to Napa Valley; 1/30/2011-1/31/2011 (Napa, CA): On the nose, tropical fruits and pineapples. On the palate, lemons, peaches, good acidity, a little heat and oak on the finish. Disappointingly, a little hollow on the mid-palate.
