DnP. Dark red, red rim, 6. Youngish nose dominated by blackcurrant and sweet oak. Intense harmonious palate, fair amount of tannins, bitterness in the finish. Drink 2020-onwards. Well made wine that will develop further into a more expressive wine.

This has really repaid aging for a few years, developing complexity and depth. Blackberry fruit and notes of violets, vanilla, leather and herbs with just a hint of chocolate. Great depth of color and full seductive body.

Please see technical notes on 7-15-12 and 9-2-12. This wine has evolved beautifully. Very much a Left Bank Bordeaux-style cabernet sauvignon. Drinking well now, but no need to rush.

(Viņa Santa Rita Cabernet Sauvignon Medalla Real Gran Reserva) Dark red violet color; smoky, tart currant nose; odd, very tart currant palate with medium acidity; medium finish

Last of 9 bottles. I wish I'd saved a few more for later.

Ages well. Incredible dark color. Strong cherry and oak notes both in the nose and taste. Full bodied taste and smooth throughout.
