Really fantastic bottle, and excellent QPR. Ethereal, balanced, fruity-yet-not. All one might want from a wine in this price zone and genre. Was hoping for some goodness out of it, and it happily surprised on the upside. Sante!

This bottle, reflected a lovely mature Burgundy. Leather, blueberry and spice on the nose. Light-medium weight. A lovely glowing red and orange colour. Warm yet soft palate of moderate intensity. Overall a lesser-mid range Burg from a superlative vintage. Showing very well now. On this showing I'll consume my last bottle in 2 years.

TWC Tanglenet Offline (Six Steps Restaurant, Toronto, Canada): Medium garnet colour. Quite closed on the nose, but showing hints of of red fruit, spice, and vanilla. Light-bodied, with cherry, earth, plum, and currant notes. Nice texture. Short-moderate finish, ~20s, with red fruit. More approachable than the Champs-Pimont right now, but both are in need of cellaring. 90+ points.

Good value, right in the spot I was hoping for. A little more structure for the fruit and good developed complexity.
