Wines At Our Table; Week of March 22, 2015; 3/16/2015-3/22/2015: Medium Ruby color with pleasing fresh red fruit, peach skin and low key, damp earth and spice aromas. On the palate it's light-bodied, fresh, fruity, with a hint of effervescence, dusty tannins, and tart cherry, cranberry, and spice flavors. Medium finish unique blen of 50/50 Pinot Noir/Gris. A wonderful chillable red that budget friendly!

Mercury hit 80+ degrees today so I was searching the cellar for something light. Found my last P2 and gave it a quick chill. Perfect choice. Bright, tart cherry, a touch of funk and a slight spritz. Tart finish with some gritty tannins. Really hit the spot.

Nice wine. Reads very much like a Beaujolais to me, which is really interesting considering that it is Pinot Noir / Pinot Gris . Little bit of spritz, which will probably be gone when I try it tomorrow, but is actually not bothering me since the wine is so light. Good times.
Luscious nose of cranberry, melon, floral tones and a hint of citrus. A lovely tart cherry on the tongue with bright acidity, and a surprising tannic structure for the varietals.

Lighter weight, a bit of spritz, elements from both varieties evident, simple quaffer, pleasant.
