This opened very fresh with a pale green gold colour with a nose of oatmeal, white peach and lemonade fruit with touches of white flowers and mineral characters. The palate is classic white burgundy with lovely weight and grip leading to a persistent sense of fruit and savoury characters. Ultimately this has both robust fruit characters and a gripping minerality that reflect the classic features of Meursault rather than fashionable wine-making tricks.

This is a fairly big wine. It needed time and air to open up. Should drink well for another decade. After a couple hours of air this opened up beautifully. White peach, acacia flowers, with a slight honeyed finish. Lovely.

Bright yellow. Crisp lemon with a hint of vanilla oak. Very young in texture and presence. Still plenty of underlying acidity to support further development. An excellent example of how good white Burgundy can be with a bit of age.

The last note captures this pretty well. Still extremely young, 0 premox, and reductive upon opening. This needed about two hours to open p and come into its own, but when it did, it aded weight and complexity. Nutty, lemon, green banana (per earlier note), lots of minerality, and excellent balance. Really well done and while not grand-cru level, it's not that far off. Glad I have 4 more. Should last another 5-7, easily.

So tasty! Nice and zingy upon pulling the cork, then over the next 20 min or so, it took on heft and breadth. In a perfect place right now.
