Medium garnet with slight browning at the edge. Some funk on the nose. Very round and sweet fruit. Stewed prunes. Tannins have melted away. Still balanced by firm acidity. Some nice baking spice. Medium finish.

Wow, this is the worst bottle of Januik wine I have ever had-and I have had over 20 bottles of their wine over the past three years. It tasted like that they over toasted the barrels that the wine was made in. Burnt and diminished fruit the mis-balanced wine-too bad.

(Januik Merlot Klipsun Vineyard Red Mountain) An aromatic wine with char, toasty spices, and dark raspberries. The palate is still wound up tightly shows incredible restraint and intensity with beautifully integrated tannins. A gorgeous wine that will last a lifetime.

No detailed notes, recall this being a fine bottle.

Great Red Mountain character, nice and juicy, but may need more time in the bottle. Probably could last until 2023.
