Drunk over two days. Better on day 1. Deep brick red colour. Red fruits on the nose. Sour cherry on the palate. Very elegant, as you would expect of Chambolle, with silky balance. Nice length. A very nice wine.

A nose of sour cherries, herbs and earth. The palate manages to combine a degree of elegance with a taught structure underneath - clearly from the Morey part of Chambolle. The palate has notes of sour red and black cherry, sous bois and a hint of pepper. A very fine Burgundy that will improve.

The nose is cool and smoky, very special and the same as one year ago, on the palate a mix of red and black fruit, earthy, this 1er cru sits just under the Bonnes Mares vineyard and is coming from a small 0.23 ha parcel. Drinking very well. On day 2 clearly on red fruit: pomegranate, red currant and raspberries.

A kind of cool smoky nose, on the palate red and black fruit, but also a lot of soil, somewhere on half way between Chambolle and Morey, maybe not the most sophisticated of Ghislaines 1er crus but definitely a very interesting one. Very good now, maybe in 2 - 4 years at it’s apogee.

Mainly red fruit: red currant and sour cherries, there is soil, salt and starting tertiary notes. A sophisticated and beautiful wine.
