Bob’s cellar. Golden yellow, still bright. Nose is fresh, hints of oiliness, lemon and orange rind. Flavours start dry, sharp acidity has disappeared, quite flat initially. As it warms, fruit flavours appear, lemon, tautness, specks of honey sweetness, acidity returns and it is really good. Like this a lot. Gets better and better as the bottle disappears. Refined acidity, lemon and orange rind. Excellent. Day 2, same excellence.

Clear golden yellow. Lime zest hits your nose immediately, softened by ripe pears, tannin and warm honey grip. Tasting is a mix of rigid lime pith and zest, tonic water, acidity but softened by age. Still has a youthful acidity there in spirit, but the age has taken the edge off. Very good, enjoying this more each bottle.

Young golden yellow. Grippy white peaches, nectarines, honey, and a fine ribbon of citrus zest running through it. Rounded and full on tasting, but the flinty citrus spritz holds the line. There is kaffir lime, oiliness, depth and a certain crispness there, rounded nicely by the sweetish honey. Fine and taut, very good. 10 years is moving this into the zone.

Golden yellow. Strong oily petrol nose, kerosene, heavily ripe lemons and hint of honey and flowers. Oily petrol taste too, and powerful. Too cold. As it warms up in the glass the lime flavours come come out - Taihitian and kaffir. It improves rather a lot, there is honey in the background softening the oily limeyness. An interesting Riesling, and given it has another 10 years of life this could become quite something.

(Jacob's Creek Riesling Steingarten) Light green-tinged yellow color; aromatic, camphor, lime, tart green fruit nose; delicious, oily textured, poised, minerally, tart green pear, lime, camphor palate; medium-plus finish (12.1% alcohol; one of the best Australian Rieslings I've ever tasted, and an ageworthy wine; from a 50-year-old hilltop vineyard)

GT Wine March 2022 - Eden Valley & Great Southern Riesling (Winespace, Surry Hills): Lime juice, floral highlights, kerosene as well but all about the lime juicy. Medium plus intensity acidity, lime juicy but with a softly creamy core - almost straying towards a dry key lime pie. Interesting and nice.
