As we poured into the decanter I could not help but notice the similarity to my memories of Beaujolais; with a distinctive, gamey, blueberry aroma. That gamey, rustic aroma barely transfers to the palate which is quite smooth and fruity, actually showing about the same amount of both dark and red fruit. Nicely tamed tannins. It does not taste of oak, but we can feel the smoothing influence of oak. Not very acidic. Seems to be feel of lees treatment. Not exactly rich, layered or concentrated, but still a tasty beverage that drinks fine by itself without food.

A little funky on the nose but great richness and complexity on the palette. Not that familiar with pinotage but really liked this. Was a gift. Company philosophy looks great and would like to purchase it

Lots of dark fruit, ok straight out of the bottle. Degraded to jamminess and sourness by next day.

Lush red fruits, as well as hints of spice and herbs, but there’s no escaping a certain ashtray quality. Weird but fun.
